I know that taking the first step toward therapy can feel both hopeful and daunting - not being sure what to expect and the thought of being vulnerable with a stranger! But I am glad you are here. My priority is to create an encouraging space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely, discover your strengths, and feel empowered to take steps toward meaningful growth and healing. I truly just want to meet you where you are, where you can feel seen, heard, and valued for who you are.
My specialties include working with adults, children, and couples to explore challenges related to self-identity, communication, relationships, and emotion regulation. Together, we’ll work to uncover and challenge unhealthy core beliefs, strengthen your authentic self, and work together towards cultivating resilience, self-compassion, and a greater sense of balance - so you can move forward with greater clarity and confidence as you write your life story.
My approach is collaborative, grounded in evidence-based techniques such as CBT and DBT, along with a deep belief in the power of a therapeutic relationship built on empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard.
Modalities
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and actions to promote healthier coping and work through core beliefs created by life events. I also integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which focuses on building skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to help you manage overwhelming emotions and improve relationships.
With children, I incorporate play therapy techniques to help them express emotions, process experiences, and build emotion regulation and coping skills.
What To Expect
During our initial sessions, we will work collaboratively to identify treatment goals that align with your values and priorities. My approach integrates talk therapy with practical strategies that we will practice together in session. I also provide resources and tools to support your growth and help you recognize the progress that develops throughout our work together.
